Vyas Hospital and Research Centre, Shajapur has a proud legacy of compassionate healthcare and medical excellence. The journey began in November 1979, when Dr. L.N. Vyas and Dr. Prabha Vyas established the first private clinic of Shajapur, known as Vyas Nursing Home at Nai Sadak. The hospital initially started with basic facilities including a 10-bed general ward, labour room, laboratory and OPD services, with the aim of providing quality healthcare to the community.
In 2013, the hospital expanded and shifted to its new premises at Dupada Road, Shajapur, and was established as Vyas Hospital and Research Centre with 30 beds and improved medical infrastructure. Over the years, the hospital has continued to grow, and today it has expanded to 50 beds, reflecting the trust and support of the community.
With the addition of modern medical facilities such as CT Scan, Digital X-ray, Sonography, Colposcopy and EEG, the hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services. Under the leadership of Dr. Smriti Thakur and Dr. Shailesh Thakur, Vyas Hospital and Research Centre continues its commitment to quality treatment, patient safety and compassionate care.

Dr. L. N. Vyas is a distinguished medical professional with over 50 years of dedicated service as general Physician and in pathology and diagnostic medicine. He earned his MBBS degree from Vikram University, Ujjain, followed by a Diploma in Clinical Pathology from the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore. He established Shajapur’s first Private Clinic and Nurasing Home with in housepathology , transforming diagnostic healthcare in the region. In addition to his expertise in pathology, , showcasing his enduring dedication to his patients and his profession. Dr. Prabha Vyas is a pioneering medical practitioner and a cornerstone of women’s healthcare in Shajapur. Since earning her MBBS in 1969, she has served as one of the region’s first specialized female doctors, offering compassionate and expert maternal care. As the founder of Vyas Nursing Home, Shajapur’s first private clinic, Dr. Vyas set the benchmark for accessible, high-quality medical services for generations of families.

Dr. Shailesh Thakur is a trusted pediatrician with over 22 years of experience in managing neonatal, infant, and child health. He completed his MBBS from Moscow university completed his DCH in child health from C.S. Dawn Indian College of Maternal & Child Health ( ICMCH). Dr. Thakur specializes in newborn care, childhood immunizations, nutritional guidance, and the treatment of common to complex pediatric illnesses.
He is known for his warm, friendly approach that puts both children and parents at ease. His clinical interests include child growth & development, pediatric asthma, and adolescent health counseling
